Thursday 01/12/12

This morning at 7am it was -11 degrees but quickly warmed to +5 by 10am. It was a good ski day at Keystone with sunny skies and no wind. We explored the River Run section of Keystone and found that an ice skating ring was installed by the bus stop. It is free for everyone and skate rentals are only $10. After an early lunch, we made our way to Breckenridge for the King Ullr parade. This event is followed by a barnfire where people throw all of their old skis and poles into the fire. This event is fun for everyone. The parade is highlighted by King Ullr and his Queen, followed by many homemade floats. You may also see a streaker or two. Still hoping for SNOW.
