After yesterday's total snowfall of 7 inches, the sun was out this morning with its COLD temps. At 7am it was -7 degrees. The early report for Keystone was that most of the trails were groomed which meant EXCELLENT conditions. We arrived at the resort by 9:15am and the temp had risen to +4 degrees. We quickly made our way to the lift and rode it to the top to start our run down a perfectly groomed carpeted trail. It is FUN to make the first tracks. As we were riding the lift over the snow-board park we didn't see a soul. It must have been too early for them. We skied for about 3 hours and then the weather turned bad. A quick moving snow squall brought 50 MPH winds and heavy snow. Total whiteout conditions. We decided it was time to go to lunch and go home. Boy the weather here can turn on a dime.
