Well the snow came. In some places they had 4 feet of snow. But, the snow fell on the East side of the Continental Divide. Here in the mountains, which is on the West of the Divide, we had only 1/2 inch. It was a letdown. Black Hawk and Central City, which is about 30 miles from us, had the 4 feet of snow. Denver had over 13 inches of snow and all of the major highways (I70 and I80) are closed from Denver to the Kansas border. This stretch of highway is about 250 miles. The forecast is for blowing snow thru Saturday afternoon. While this storm moves away, we can only hope the next one will hit the mountains. Not much was going on at the Mountain House walkway and I think the First Aid center was quiet. Getting ready to go to dinner at the Arapohoe Cafe for 1/2 drinks and appetizers.
